Our vision is to provide the platform for young people from different backgrounds, the opportunity to take part, learn and develop their interests through the support of the charity. The charity has two locations, EBFT UK based in Castleton in Greater Manchester and our newly formed, EBFT Portugal based in Almancil. The staff, mentors and volunteers at our charities are passionate about one shared goal, bringing joy and happiness to the young people who we come into contact with by ensuring they get the best possible opportunities to thrive.
About
The Elaine Bain Family Trust was established as the Albany Children’s Trust in 2012 by Keith Courtney, Lynn O’Reilly and Elaine Bain. In 2020, following the passing of Elaine, we changed our name to the Elaine Bain Family Trust in her honour. We have worked with various learners from 11 years of age up until 16 years of age from local high schools for ten years where the focus of our activity has always been learner centred. Through the relationship with our former and current partner schools, Kingsway Park High School and Cardinal Langley Roman Catholic High School we have seen our activity grow year on year. We aim to extend our support to more children in need and are totally committed to the safety and well-being of every child that we come into contact with.
