Albany Children’s Trust and Littleborough Fire Station have built a strong relationship over the last few years and it is always a great day out seeing how our firefighters go about their day to day jobs. Led by Robert Chew, the fire fighters arrange a full day of activities ranging from emergency responses to situations, resuscitation techniques and plenty of team related exercises. All of the activities were carried out in full firefighting uniform and having this experience really gave the learners a taste of what it takes to be a firefighter. An indicator of the success of the day was having learners enquire about how they could potentially undertake a career in the fire service. All in all it was another fantastic day and a hugely beneficial one too.
